Notably, Joju is part of Anurag's next directorial and the upcoming Suriya-starrer Suriya 44, helmed by Karthik.
Anurag described Pani as a “powerful thriller/drama” that is both shocking and surprising, likening its quality to that of Korean new-wave cinema. The director-actor remarked on George's confident direction, suggesting it could appeal to a wide audience. Karthik also weighed in, calling Pani a gripping action thriller with intense performances. The Jigarthanda director expressed optimism about its potential success in theatres, stating, "It’s going to be a blast." Santhosh shared his thoughts after watching the film, saying he was "blown away" by the experience.
