Dilip Kumar steals the rhetorical thunder in Shakti, as the irksomely righteous police officer Ashwini Kumar who would stop at nothing to nab law-breakers. If we had treated the film well, Shakti would have been judged on its own merits as one of the most brilliantly scripted and staged morality tales.
