Lucky Baskhar director Venky Atluri stated that Dulquer instantly flagged off the script and started discussing dates, sets and production after the first narration. Adding that he did not expect the dialogues in the film to go viral, the director wrote scenes keeping his own experiences in mind. Venky revealed that while he wanted to make a film on a limited budget in live locations, producer Naga Vamsi pushed him to shoot in lavish sets and think big.
