During the success meet of Mari Selvaraj's recent film Vaazhai, the director announced the sequel to the film. Mari, addressing the crowd during his speech, stated that he will make Vaazhai 2. "I'll bring back the character Sivanaindhan because there is another powerful story behind the film. I'll make another Vaazhai if there is still any confusion about who I am. There is more to be told."
