Director Anurag Kashyap recently responded to Pankaj Jha’s accusations against the filmmaker for not taking him for the role of “Sultan” in Gangs of Wasseypur. The character was ultimately played by Pankaj Tripathi.
In an interview with Digital Commentary, Jha, who was recently seen in the role of Vidhayak in Panchayat season 3, claimed that he was filming in Patna when Anurag approached him for a role in Gangs of Wasseypur. The actor said that he informed Anurag that he was in the middle of a shoot, and would return in a day or two, but later found out that Pankaj Tripathi had already been cast in his place.
