On October 1, journalist T.P. Nandakumar, known as 'Crime' Nandakumar, was arrested by Ernakulam North Police for allegedly defaming actress Shwetha Menon on social media. Based on her complaint, he faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Kerala Police Act, and IT Act for uploading objectionable videos. Nandakumar had previously been arrested two years ago over a similar incident involving a colleague.
