The movie was officially announced in March 2023 under the working title Suriya 44, marking the actor's 44th starring role, accompanied by the tagline Love, Laughter, and War. Filming began in June 2024 in Port Blair. Santhosh Narayanan will provide the musical score, Shreyaas Krishna is in charge of cinematography, and Shafique Mohamed Ali will handle editing duties.
