Just a few weeks after the release of Siva's Kanguva, Suriya is back on sets to film RJ Balaji's upcoming project, tentatively titled Suriya 45. The recently announced film kicked off with a pooja ceremony at Masaniamman Temple in Coimbatore's Pollachi, where Suriya, RJ Balaji, and the rest of the crew were present. The film is set to go on floors from tomorrow, November 28. Photos from the event have been widely circulated on the internet.
Touted to be an action-adventure film, the project is backed by Dream Warrior Pictures that has bankrolled critically acclaimed blockbusters like Joker, Aruvi, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, Sulthan, and Farhana. According to the makers, the yet-to-be-titled film will be the most expensive in the production house's line-up till date. Details regarding the rest of the cast members have been kept under wraps.
Suriya 45 will have music by AR Rahman. The Academy Award-winning composer has previously scored music for Suriya's hit films like Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Aayudha Ezhuthu, and 24. Up next, the actor also has Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, which is currently in the post-production stage.
RJ Balaji last made Veetla Vishesham in 2022. On the acting front, he has Sorgavaasal, directed by Sidharth Vishwanath up for release on November 29, and another film Happy Ending, with director Ammamuthu Surya which is yet to go on floors. Both the films are helmed by debutant filmmakers.
