The makers of Vijay Sethupathi's Maharaja announced, on Monday, that the film has cleared censorship formalities with a U/A certificate. Helmed by Nithilan Saminathan, Maharaja is all set to hit theatres on June 14.
Maharaja marks the 50th film of Vijay Sethupathi. Nithilan also wrote the dialogues for the film alongside Raam Murali. The makers earlier released a trailer of the film shows Vijay Sethupathi as a salon owner entering a police station to report missing 'Lakshmi'. When the character says that Lakshmi is not a precious item or a person, it leaves the cops perplexed.
